Nearly two weeks after making a jailbreak with 9 other inmates at New Orleans Paris Justice Center, Antoine Massey remains on the run. His family is now tearfully begging for him to come home to NOLA and turn himself in.

Antoine Massey’s Mother And Grandfather Tearfully Beg He ‘Turn Himself In’ After New Orleans Jailbreak
Antoine Massey’s mother, Chiquita Massey, called into the WDSU and tearfully pleaded:
“Antoine, I’m begging you, son. I’m broken. Please get in touch with Reverend Brown, your grandfather, your aunties, somebody, and turn yourself in. I need you. I cannot do this, son. I can’t. I love you, please hear my cry.”
The escapee’s grandfather, Lee W. Taylor, also pleaded with him. Speaking with the press, he said:
“If you’re out there, your children, you’ve got two beautiful babies, man, they need you bad. Your little son is asking for his dad. He don’t know where you may be. And I don’t want to keep on wondering where you may be. I will go with you to jail, I will be there every day if you needed me to. Just please give yourself up, son. Right now if you don’t feel anything for us, you can keep running if you want to. But we feel a lot for you, that’s all I want. Just for him to turn himself in.”
Antoine Massey’s Aunt Claims He’s Not Monster As He Remains On The Run And His Sister Gets Arrested In New Orleans Jailbreak
Meanwhile, Antoine’s aunt has also spoken out on social media slamming critics making think pieces about the escapee, his family, and their viral situation. The aunt says he’s not a monster, but grew up having seen his father murdered. The aunt stood in front of her phone and said:
“Right now our family is going through it. You n***as is opening up old wounds that we are trying to bury. We are trying to bury them. Y’all making my nephew out to be a monster. He is not a monster. Is Antonine a problem child? Of course. Anybody who knows us knows that. Has Antoine been a problem since day f***ing one? Yes! But, how did he get that way? Y’all know how he got that way. From watching his father get executed in front of him. He’s not the only that got affected. It affected his sister, it affected his momma, it affected all of his siblings. It affected all of them. But, this is his story.”
Antoine Massey’s Aunt Asks For Prayers As He Remains On The Run And His Sister Gets Arrested In New Orleans Jailbreak
Antoine Massey’s aunt continued to plead with the public criticizing their family. She said:
“His sister right now is locked up and incarcerated from ‘allegedly’ helping him. She ain’t been right since she’s seen the murder of her father. I need for y’all to lift this family up in prayer. The Taylors, where y’all at, man? Do y’all want to relive this sh*t again? Y’all still ain’t heal from my brother’s death. Y’all still ain’t heal from his death and y’all gonna watch this sh*t go down on national TV, bruh? I’m trying not to get upset because I’ve been crying all day…
This not his fault y’all and I’m not taking no sides. I’m not trying to make excuses for him, but let’s not fault him, y’all, ‘cause trust me, he’s scared right now. He’s scared. He wants to go home. Because he’s the type of n***a who will make decisions and think afterward because he’s not all there. Am I saying doesn’t know right from wrong? Yes, he knows right from wrong, he’s grown. But, the system raised him. He’s been in jail 14 years of his life. Come home, domestic violence, he back in there. All he wanted to do is see his momma, who just come home. All he wanted to do was see his baby graduate. We know that’s not the way to go about doing it. But, in his mind, it is. In his mind, he can’t do 14 more years. And the crazy part about it is, he was the one with the lesser charges.”
