#Socialites, what is going on lately with these passengers and airline workers? There’s been another viral terminal takedown captured on camera at Miami International Airport. This time it involved two women who got into with a worker at a Frontier Airlines ticket counter, and the brawl included the police too.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday (January 24), and the two women who were involved have since been arrested after assaulting the airline employee.

Miami-Dade Police officials say the two women were being banned from boarding their flight to Atlanta, Georgia, after they showed up 45 minutes late for their departure.

Law enforcement officials say the argument escalated when one of the women, 20-year-old Makyan Mercer, flung a plastic sign holder at the Frontier Airlines employee, which left her with cuts across her face.

When officers took Mercer into custody, a second woman, identified as 21-year-old Janaeah Negash, then attempted to intervene with the arrest. After getting in between the officers and screaming out, “Don’t touch her!,” she herself, was then arrested and charged with resisting arrest with violence and disorderly conduct.

Meanwhile, Mercer, the first woman, was charged with aggravated battery, resisting arrest with violence and disorderly conduct. According to arrest reports, both of the women reside in Durham, North Carolina.

Meanwhile, Frontier Airlines has since released a statement: “We are providing our full support to the injured team member and are appalled by the conduct of the two customers who were ultimately arrested. Both will be permanently banned from flying with us in the future.”
