Sofía Vergara and Joe Manganiello have announced that they are ending their relationship after seven years of marriage. They broke the shocking news in a statement to @pagesix. It read:
“We have made the difficult decision to divorce,” the duo told the outlet this Monday, July 17. “As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”

The two began dating back in 2014, after six short months of dating, the Modern Family star and the True Blood actor got engaged. That following year, Sofia and Joe tied the knot and had been going strong up until now.
A source told PEOPLE, “Sofía is a smart and hardworking girl who thinks of everything that could go wrong before it actually does,” the source close to Vergara said. “Joe is pretty low key and for years this suited both of them. This has been chipping away for a while. They have been growing apart for some time now and tried to resolve things, but they are focused on different areas of their lives,” a source close to the 51-year-old actress told the outlet.
“They definitely love and respect each other but once that initial passion dies down and other areas get in the way, then little differences get bigger,” the source continued explaining.
The news comes as Vergara had been celebrating her 51st birthday in Italy. The hot actress posted a photo along with the caption that read, “When life gives u lemons u come to Italy to squeeze them😚❤️☀️🇮🇹 ” Vergara captioned a photo of herself on her Italian getaway on Sunday.
The big breakup news also comes just hours after news broke about Ariana Grande who is reportedly “heading for divorce” from her husband of two years, Dalton Gomez, amid rumors that the pair have been separated for “months.”
