Oneya Johnson, an influencer known online as “Angry Reactions,” has been arrested for an alleged domestic violence incident. The Chicago native became social media famous in 2020 after posting content to his TikTok page.

According to law enforcement sources who spoke with TMZ, the 25-year-old influencer, who gained fame for his “angry reactions” on TikTok and Instagram, was arrested on Monday evening (February 12), around 11 p.m., in Burbank, California.
Sources claimed that a woman called a 9-1-1 dispatcher from a hotel to report an alleged altercation between her and Johnson. According to police, Johnson and the woman got into a verbal argument that eventually turned physical. It has not been made clear as to what exactly happened between the two parties, but Johnson’s alleged actions were enough to land him in cuffs and book him into a local jail.
According to a Burbank Police Department report, the influencer has since been charged with felony domestic violence and was released from jail after posting a $50,000 bail. He is due to appear in court on March 5 and if proven guilty, he can face up to two to five years in State Prison or a year in country prison, plus a fine of up to $10,000, per California State Law.
TMZ’s law enforcement sources also reported that the woman did not require any medical attention. It is also unclear at this time who the woman is and the extent of her relationship with the social media influencer.
Oneya Johnson, better known as “Angry Reactions” on social media, has more than 27.7 million followers on TikTok and an additional 2 million on Instagram. The influencer, who gained fame and notoriety online in 2020, is best known for his viral videos where he angrily reacts and reviews various videos across social media.
Johnson’s videos became so viral when he first began that he even gained 1 million followers on TikTok within a 24-hour window, according to Buzzfeed News. Speaking with Buzzfeed, Johnson revealed that before becoming a viral sensation he was homeless in Indiana when he created his first video.
When asked how he came up with the idea behind his “Angry” persona, he said he “basically took how the world sees” and made it his online personality. He said, “If I passed you on the street and I don’t say a word, I look like the angriest person in the world. But when you actually get to know me, I’m actually a really positive person.”
