Andrew Giuliani, Son Of Rudy Giuliani, Announces 2022 Bid For Governor Of New York

Looks like the political gene in the Giuliani family runs deep as Andrew Giuliani, the 35-year-old son of former NYC mayor Rudy Guiliani and former White House aide for Donald Trump, announces his 2022 bid for governor of New York.

On Tuesday (May 18), Andrew revealed his plans for candidacy to CNN. He said he will run for the GOP nomination, remaining in the same party as his father. Andrew believes he can not only beat out the veteran GOP competition, but can win over the position from Gov. Andrew Cuomo — a Democrat whose been entangled in scandals of sexual harassment allegations and claims of misinforming officials about COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes.

Andrew affirms, “It would be one of the epic showdowns in the state’s history. I know we can defeat Andrew Cuomo in 2022. I am going to be the 57th governor of New York.” In addition to beating a current democratic governor, Andrew will have to face and win over the millions of NY residents who are also democratic. But despite political party affiliations, Andrew says, “We’re running for all New Yorkers. This is for any New Yorker that believes that in 2022 we need to save New York.”
