Amy Schumer Says She Was ‘Made Fun Of’ For Calling Will Smith’s Oscars Slap ‘Traumatizing’
Amy Schumer is speaking out again saying, she received a lot of backlash after saying she was traumatized from seeing Will Smith slap Chris Rock at the Oscars.
“People made fun of me for saying that was traumatizing,” she expressed on ‘The Howard Stern Show’ Wednesday.

She then explained, “But I don’t think it was traumatizing for me. I think it was traumatizing for all of us.”
However, Schumer recently wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post after Smith slapped Chris Rock on stage at the March 27 awards show, “Still triggered and traumatized.”
She added, “I love my friend @chrisrock and believe he handled it like a pro. Stayed up there and gave an Oscar to his friend @questlove and the whole thing was so disturbing.”

Also during one of her shows at Las Vegas Mirage Theater she shared, “It was just a f–king bummer. All I can say is that it was really sad, and I think it says so much about toxic masculinity.”

As we previously reported, During the Oscars this year Chris Rock referred to Will Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith as ‘GI Jane’. Which caused a lot of backlash being that the actress made it public that she suffers from alopecia. Chris Rock’s family did speak out saying the comedian was unaware that she suffered from it, but it still caused a major outrage.
Chris Rock has been pretty silent when it comes to talking about the incident. Most recently during his comedy show, he reportedly said he will not do any interviews speaking about it until someone cuts him a check.
