2 Americans Who Survived Kidnapping In Mexico Reveal Mexican Cartel Wanted The Siblings To Have Sex With Each Other

In an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper on Tuesday, the two Americans who survived a cartel kidnapping in Mexico that left two of their other friends and an innocent local woman dead, are speaking out to share more horrifying details of the attack.

While detailing the moment the group’s minivan was cornered by gunmen, Latavia Washington McGee and Eric Williams recalled
being kidnapped and the traumatizing memory of their beloved friends Shaeed Woodard and Zindell Brown being killed. They didn’t deserve that. None of us deserved it. But we’re alive — we have a lot of recovering to do,” LaTavia Washington McGee told Cooper in the exclusive interview.

While describing the kidnapping and what kept them alive, Cooper asked if there were threats or demands made by the cartel. The two siblings sadly say yes and shared that the kidnappers asked that they sleep with one another. McGee and Williams say they tried to push back, telling the cartel members they were related and that McGee was pregnant at the time. However, they never addressed what ultimately happened.

As we previously reported, the four U.S. citizens were driving in the Mexican border city of Matamoros on March 3 when Washington McGee says the group turned down a side street and noticed another car honking. “Zindell was in the back seat, he said ‘don’t stop,’ he saw a gun,” Washington McGee explained.

Riding in panic, they eventually stopped the car and Woodard and Brown quickly ran out but were both immediately shot down, the surviving siblings told CNN.

“When I jumped out on the driver’s side, that’s when I was shot in both legs,” Williams said, on CNN while sitting in a wheelchair wearing a leg brace.

Following the shooting, the four Americans were loaded into the back of a pickup truck. Williams and Washington McGee told CNN Brown and Woodward was actually both still alive when their limp bodies were dragged onto the truck bed. They told the news outlet that arrived at a house about 10-15 minutes later where the kidnappers wore a mask and put “guns at our heads, telling us not to look up.”

After the initial interrogation, Williams was taken to a medical clinic for the bullet he had in his legs. He told CNN, “They put my leg on a two-by-four and then they stitched it up… no pain medicine or nothing.” He said the stitches by the end of the day, had all “busted out”

Meanwhile, Washington McGee said she was being held in a room with injured Brown, who was fighting for his life.

“I talked to him the whole time… just told him I was sorry because I asked him to come with me and he just said, ‘It’s okay I’m your brother, I’m supposed to be there for you, I love you.’”Sadly, about an hour later, Brown was dead.

The siblings go on to explain how they got out and managed to return to the US. Since then,
Mexican authorities have charged six men over the kidnapping including a 24-year-old who was allegedly a lookout at the property where the Americans were held in the Lagunona area, outside of Matamoros.
