While appearing on Van Lathan and Rachel Lindsay’s podcast ‘Higher Learning,’ Amber spoke about her new music, family life and of course her relationships and sex life.
At one point during the conversation, Amber addresses the common misconception that she only preaches for girls to be “adventurous.”
Before jumping into her suggestion, Amber says:
“A lot of men — I’ve noticed this throughout the years. Black, white, Asian, Spanish, don’t matter — a lot of men don’t have positive male role models in their lives growing up. Right?
And it affects them in ways that is detrimental to their mind and their body and the outside world and their friends, and everything.
They don’t know how to keep it together, because they never had a man that said, ‘This is how it’s supposed to be.'”

Amber then gets into the misconception about how she preaches.
“This is another misconception about me. I’ve heard people say, ‘Well, you don’t want guys to get their h*e on but girls can.’ But, it’s like no, I want guys to get their h*e on, but be a compassionate h*e.
I’m a compassionate h*e. I don’t f*ck married men and men in relationships and men with babies on the way and all of that. I don’t do sh*t like that. Be a compassionate h*e.”
Host Van Lathan then asks Amber to dive deeper and give a direct definition or example of what “compassionating h*ing” looks like. Amber responds:
“Compassionate h*ing. You know it’s like, if you want to live your best life and do what you want with your body, that is okay. But don’t hurt people. Be a good person.
I’m a good person. I don’t hurt people, Van, I don’t. I don’t. I don’t cheat. I don’t lie. If I’m done with a relationship, I’m honest about it. I don’t go out and find somebody new before I leave that person.
I feel like, and not only with AE my baby daddy, most of my relationships, most men in general … I have brothers, I have sons. I’ m sorry it’s a sausage party at my house every day. I’m the only girl.
You know, my security, my assistant, my team, they’re all men. So I have a lot of these conversations.”
Later, host Van Lathan also asks Amber if she has daddy issues and what her dynamic with her father was like growing up and how it is today.
