Amanda, Guest Of Soft White Under Belly, Has Passed Away At 25

Amanda, a woman whose story resonated with hundreds after her appearance on the YouTube series Soft White Underbelly has died at the age of 25.

The news was confirmed by Amanda’s father who said the young woman was found unresponsive in her bed on May 9 during an episode alongside Lima Jeremovic. According to Yahoo! News, Jeremovic helped Amanda seek rehabilitation treatment and created a GoFundMe page to help support Amanda’s future recovery expenses. At the time of her passing, Amanda was currently living at a treatment facility but her cause of death is unknown at this time said series creator Mark Laita.

 “Until Amanda’s autopsy is finished we won’t know exactly what caused her death on Sunday (5/9). All we know is they’ve ruled out drugs or foul play. We should know more in the next week or so.”

Amanda shared her story about her life in Skid Row, Los Angeles, where she dealt with her addiction to crack cocaine as a sex worker. During her recovery, she expressed that she wanted to work as a certified nursing assistant and cared for her brother who has autism.

“Being sober and being in recovery are two different things. I am in recovery. I just want to make action and do the things so that I can stay sober for the rest of my life.”
