Amanda Bynes ‘Doing Very Well’ Since Judge Terminated Conservatorship

Amanda Bynes is said to be “doing very well” since a judge terminated her conservatorship earlier this week. As we previously reported, Bynes filed a petition on February 23 to end her conservatorship. On Monday (Mar. 21), Judge Roger L. Lund was tentatively ruling for the 35-year-old actress’ freedom, with a court date the next day.

As of Tuesday (Mar. 22), Judge Lund officially terminated Bynes’ conservatorship after nearly nine years, and with the full support of Bynes’ parents, Lynn and Rick Bynes. After the ruling Bynes released a statement explaining, “In the last several years, I have been working hard to improve my health so that I can live and work independently, and I will continue to prioritize my well-being in this next chapter. I am excited about my upcoming endeavors — including my fragrance line — and look forward to sharing more when I can.”

Additionally, Bynes’ lawyer David Esquibias now tells People magazine how well she’s flourishing and how excited she is about the future. He says, “She’s doing very well and looking forward to moving in her property with (fiancé) Paul (Michael). They’re actively searching for furniture and she’s excited about all of it. She’s ecstatic to receive her parents’ full love and support behind her decision to terminate the conservatorship.”
