Allied Multicultural and the Disney team joined forces to host the very first WHITE MEN CAN’T JUMP Community Screening and Experience in Los Angeles. On Wednesday, April 19th, top-tier influencers, celebrities, and press packed both the tastemaker screening held at Cinemark 18 and the Hilltop after party located in Inglewood, CA.

Big Boy Radio Personality, Louie G engaged with the audience and hyped them up before watching the biggest remake film of the year. And, following the film, Rolling Out Senior Writer and Inglewood native, Jeandra LeBeauf captivated the audience as she did a stunning Q&A with star of White Men Can’t Jump, Sinqua Walls and director, Calmatic. Cast in attendance included Slink Johnson, Paris Nicole, Anthony Hamilton Jr. and more.

Press, influencers, and celebrities immediately took to Twitter with their reactions to the film. Some had expectations that were exceeded, and some walked in with skepticism and were pleasantly surprised. Influencers included D-Smoke, Crissa Jackson Kristopher, Kris London, Paigion, Jayda Curry, Brittney Elena, London, La’Ron Hines , Novi Brown, Brittney Russell-Perry (Brittany Perry-Russell), Charles Oakley, Willie Beemin, D-Spank and more.

Following the screening was a packed afterparty at Hilltop Inglewood with DJ R-Tistic. Disney transformed the coffee shop to a branded White Men Can’t Jump experience. In addition, attendees loved how local black owned businesses were integrated into the experience. It’s safe to say the city of Inglewood showed up and showed out to support Calmatic for the very first screening of White Men Can’t Jump.

Make sure you watch May 19!
