As devastating as it is to hear that four young people were killed, all of the innocent victims have now been identified.

The youngest are Maya Lupian, 8, Journey Rose Reotutar Guerrero, 8, Amari Peterson, 14, and Susano Archuleta, 21.

Little Maya was described as an outgoing 3rd grader who excelled in her academics and extracurricular activities. “She loved to dance, sing and draw. She was a purple belt in karate, and she loved being active. Maya was the light in everyone’s life, the sweetest soul,” her GoFundMe page said.

Journey Rose was remembered as a sweet girl who would “offer a helping hand to anyone she knew. She was a smart girl who loved trivia and solving math games. Journey was growing up beautifully and should have had a long life where she could learn and play as much as she pleased,” the page said. “She had so many dreams and goals she wanted to reach. Journey wanted to be a cheerleader when she entered high school & to continue her love for gymnastics. She wished to become a doctor & follow in her sister’s footsteps. She wanted to help people.”

According to Amari Peterson’s GoFundMe, Amari was a young athlete who played football and basketball, with plans to go to college.

“The only mistake this sweet boy made was being in the wrong place at the wrong time,” the page said. “He was simply being a kid at a kids’ party.”

As for Susano Archuleta, the oldest victim, he was said to be deeply loved by friends, family, and the community.

The FBI and San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office are offering a $50,000 reward for information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of those behind this horrific crime.

Vice Mayor Jason Lee has been committed to making that happen.

“I remain committed to supporting our public safety officers—Sheriff Patrick
Withrow, Chief Stanley McFadden, and every officer doing the hard work every
day to keep our community safer. I also want to reaffirm my full support for District Attorney Ron Freitas and his unwavering commitment to hold those responsible accountable to the fullest extent of the law. Their collective leadership in this moment is critical, and I stand firmly behind their efforts to deliver justice for these families,” he said an earlier press Conference.
