The federal criminal complaint states that an undercover FBI agent posed as a hitman and met with Mohammad. It said he offered $20,000 to have his wife killed and $5,000 for the murder of each of his six children. According to ABC3340, he was charged with the use of interstate commerce in the commission of murder for hire. Before the arrest, he owned a plumbing company in Homewood. Mohammad allegedly sought someone to carry out the killings after asking a colleague if they knew someone who could “take care of the family.”

Court documents revealed that Mohammad and his wife are undergoing divorce proceedings. In 2021, three protection orders were issued against him, filed by his wife and two children. These orders were based on threats Mohammad had allegedly made. In 2022, Mohammad was charged with first-degree stalking after he allegedly placed tracking devices on family members’ cars. Around the same time, several of the family’s vehicles were mysteriously set on fire, with the incidents classified as suspicious.

During the court hearing, a witness played a recording in which they warned Mohammed that harming his family would have consequences. Mohammad allegedly responded, “No, God will reward me.” On February 24, 2024, he was released on bond and fitted with an ankle monitor to track his movements

The FBI’s cooperating witness reported that Mohammad expressed his willingness to “die for self-dignity” and “die for pride.” During a meeting with an undercover agent, Mohammad allegedly handed over $550 as a down payment for the murders, with the remaining balance to be paid after the killings were carried out.
