Oop! Akon has sparked some serious conversations and backlash after claiming that men are superior to women, noting that the two genders could “never be equal, because men are the kings and divine of this universe.”

Akon Claims Men Are Superior To Women, And Could ‘Never Be Equal Because Men Are The Kings & Divine Of This Universe; Men Are The Ones Who Create Life’
While appearing on Joe Budden’s podcast, Akon caused some serious controversy over his “outlandish” comments about gender roles in America versus Africa.
The Newark, New Jersey rapper, whose family comes from Senegal, shared that women in Africa know their role in society, whereas with women in America … things are a bit different.
He also said that men are superior to women in all ways, being that they are “the kings and divine of this universe.”
The 49 year old rapper said, “If we go to Africa and we’re talking about women … it’s paradise. Cause you’re not just dealing with beauty, you’re also dealing with a different mentality.” Akon continued to claim that the women in African countries treat their men like kings and cater to them because they are not competing or “fighting for equality, because they understand that women and men could never be equal.”

He added, “The roles are very defined. It’s very clean. Like here, Even if you say the word ‘role’ to a woman here they’ll get offended. ‘Yo, play your role, and let me play mine.’ ‘Role? What the f**k you mean, role?’ Like everyone has a role. There’s an infrastructure to life. And if a woman doesn’t understand her position and the role that she plays in life, everybody’s confused.”
Akon also spoke on procreation, asserting, “The woman don’t create life, they support the creation of life. Men, we’re Gods. We’re the ones that create life. Let me give you the science of it. A man right now can create life without a woman…a woman can’t create life without a man.
If I wanted to create life right now without a woman, I would just shoot my sperm, put it in an incubator and just give it nine months…even maybe less with today’s science … a woman can’t do that. Men have lost the idea of the power they actually possess and passed it to the woman. Here in America, the men are afraid of their power.”
