During Adele’s show at her Las Vegas residency over the weekend, the “Easy On Me” singer gushed about Lizzo, whom she appears to have formed a close friendship with over the years. During her sold-out gig at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Adele paused her show to interact with the audience as she opened up on how she first met the “Good As Hell” artist.

“I met her at a house party, she was signed but this was before anything had come out,” she recalled. Their first get-together went so well that Adele ended up inviting Lizzo out for a karaoke party, and even though Lizzo couldn’t attend, the pair continued to run into each other, sparking much more meaningful conversations to take place between them.

“I’d seen her from time to time and we’d had a few really amazing, tight one-on-one girlfriend conversations and stuff and I really think very highly of her,” the “I Drink Wine” songstress told the audience. She then followed up by mentioning how amazed she was by Lizzo’s HBO Max documentary, “Love Lizzo,” which was released back in November and gave fans a glimpse of her life behind the scenes, as well as her rise to superstardom.

“I watched her documentary the other night – and I hate music documentaries,” Adele retorted. “I haven’t got time for anyone to be doing documentaries in your 30s or 40s unless you’re Tina Turner or The Beatles you get out of town!”

“But I absolutely loved it, it was so sincere and it was so truthful. I enjoyed it so much. I laughed, I cried, I loved seeing all the footage and photographs of her when she was little and she’s such an amazing person. She’s so thoughtful, she sends flowers to you, she remembers things about you – she’s amazing so I’d like to give her all of my love.”
