Actress Katey Sagal Hospitalized After Being Hit By Car

TMZ reports that the 67-year-old actress was hit by a car while crossing a Los Angeles street on Thursday,
The driver of the vehicle stopped to help Sagal, before she was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. Luckily, the outlet reports that her injuries are not serious, and she’s expected to be released from the hospital at some point on Friday. As of now, it’s not clear if the driver has been cited for the accident.
Sagal, 67 is best known for playing Gemma Teller on Son’s of Anarchy, The Conners, 8 Simple Rules and Married… with Children.

Back in 2016, Sagal opened up about being told that she would never work on television, and her success shows otherwise.
“‘You are not [the] TV type,’” she said previously. “‘You should go to New York, you should just be on the stage. You will never work in television.’ F–k them. I showed them.”
“It’s never been easy for me,” Sagal added. “I know I’ve continued to work and I think it’s super amazing that I’ve continued to work, but I’m always the one that has to prove to you that I can do it. It’s just kind of been that way.”
