On Thursday (March 19), TMZ published footage from a 2023 domestic violence incident, in which Paul abuses her ex/daughter’s father, Dakota Mortensen, in front of their child.

In the clip, the child begins crying as Paul beats on and throws chairs at Mortensen, appearing to strike their daughter. However, in a previous September 2025 interview with ‘Call Her Daddy,’ Paul insisted she never hurt her daughter nor intended to harm her.

She said that the charges “were all dropped” and she called the incident the “hardest time” in her life. She added, “I never had hurt my daughter. I never intentionally did anything with my children.” Hours after the horrifying footage surfaced online, ABC pulled pulled Paul’s season of ‘The Bachelorette,’ set to premiere on Sunday (March 21).

Disney Pulls ABC’s ‘The Bachelorette’ After Video Shows Taylor Frankie Paul Abusing Ex In Front Of Kids, Reality Star Speaks

A Disney Entertainment Television spokesperson said in a statement:

“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.”

The move also arrives days after Paul’s other reality show, ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,’ paused its 5th season. Following the DV video leak, a spokesperson for Paul also released a statement, calling the leak “desperate” and claiming it “omits context.” A spokesperson for Paul told press:

“It’s sad to see the latest installment of his never-ending, desperate, attention-seeking, destructive campaign to harm Taylor without any regard for the consequences for their child. Releasing an old video, which conveniently omits context, on their son’s birthday is a reprehensible attempt to distract from his own behavior. Thankfully, the public has seen this act before and knows who he is and sadly, many will recognize this pattern of manipulation, both in his actions on the show, and from their own experiences.”
