‘Love Island USA’ alum JaNa Craig publicly acknowledged fellow alum Kordell Beckham defending her after her ex-boyfriend Kenny Rodriguez broke his silence on their messy breakup.
As we previously shared on Hollywood Unlocked’s Instagram, Rodriguez recently appeared on ‘The Journey Podcast’ to share his side of the story about his split from Craig. During the sit-down, Rodriguez became emotional as he accused Craig and “her friends” of plotting against him after their split a year ago. He addressed their “narrative” about him being an alleged racist.
‘Love Island USA’ Season 6 Star JaNa Craig Announces Split From Kenny Rodriguez
In July 2025, Craig announced her split from Rodriguez after they wrapped filming ‘Beyond the Villa’ in early June 2025. She took to her Instagram Story and wrote:
“Hi my loves. Thank you for all your love & support. It means the world to me. As you know, Kenny and I are no longer together. Please know that I have seen all the breakup theories and none have matched up to how terrible, disgusting and disappointing it truly is. Discovering that someone you loved isn’t who you thought they were and that the relationship you thought you were building hasn’t been genuine since day one has been truly devastating. Thank you for respecting my privacy and please know as a child of God, I will always be okay.”
Shortly after her announcement, Rodriguez shared his own, which sparked a heated response from Craig. He wrote:
“The past few days have been incredibly difficult. I’ve been quietly sitting with a lot of emotions and doing my best to process everything privately. Breakups are never easy, especially in the public eye. Sometimes, despite how deeply you care for someone, you come to the hard truth that the relationship was not something that could last long-term. I’ll always be grateful for the time we shared and the memories we created. I release this chapter with no ill will, only a hope that JaNa’s path forward brings her nothing but happiness.”
Craig fired back and called him a “manipulative liar” who was not “taking accountability.”

Several ‘Love Island‘ Season 6 alums and outside friends of Craig rushed to her defense. Fellow alum Leah Kateb called Rodriguez a “racist, clout/money hungry, scammer.” Two more alum, Serena Page and Olivia Walker, chimed in to support Craig, and her best friend Charmane Smith and Taylor Martin also chimed in.

A year later, Rodriguez broke his silence on the messy split. During the sit-down, he alleged Craig at one point threatened to call the cops on him. He also claimed that fellow Season 6 alum Kordell Beckham was the only cast member to reach out to him after his split with Craig. However, the two both had different things to say.
While threatening to call her lawyers on her ex, Craig blasted Rodriguez for again “making up straight-up f**king lies.” She warned, “If you want to f**king play, let’s play!” She continued to warn that their text messages show the truth — and with his permission she will drop the receipts to put everything on the floor!
Beckham then entered the chat and denied Rodriguez’s claim about him reaching out. He also showed love and support for Craig, whom he dubbed his “sister.” After Beckham’s post, Craig thanked him, dubbing him her “brother.”
