Singer Jelly Roll has filed for divorce from wife, Bunnie Xo, after nearly 10 years of marriage. According to TMZ, court documents show Jelly Roll, born Jason Bradley DeFord, filed for divorce from his wife back in May. Court docs reveal he filed in Tennessee.
Additionally, sources told TMZ that the divorce was “a mutual decision” by the couple and a “private family matter.” Hours before the divorce news hit the internet, Bunnie Xo, born Alisa Andrea Carter (and also known as Alisa DeFord), seemingly hinted at her split.

While taking to her Instagram, she posted a video of herself singing to an iconic breakup song: Nickelback’s “How You Remind Me.” She captioned the post, “Banger 💋.” She shared the feed post to her Instagram Story and then shared another post. It was a sultry snapshot of her in satin pink lingerie. She captioned the post, “She’s getting her sparkle back ✨.”
Bunnie then reposted another user’s post that read, “come here, let me show you what love feels like.” Over the song, she played J. Cole’s song “Power Trip,” notably the part where Miguel sings the pre-chorus. She finally shared a post that Snoop Dogg reposted. It featured a dancing monkey and said, “Me about to take it up a notch” after being told “You’re embarrassing cut it out.”
Now, Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo first in 2015 before his big debut in music and entertainment. However, they didn’t become romantic until 2016. By August 2016, they were walking down the aisle as husband and wife.
According to TMZ, the couple has had a rocky relationship, splitting several times in the past and reuniting. They’ve also had their own things to work out — like Jelly welcoming a son with another woman one week before his wedding; and Bunnie quitting the adult industry in 2023. She previously worked as a sex worker, from stripping to being a high-end escort.
