In true “Grande Dame” fashion, she made her grand exit. An hour after her release, cameras caught a glimpse of Huger waving from the rolled-down window of a Ford Expedition.
Witnesses on the scene dished to local news outlets that a full-blown production crew for RHOP was on-site, with Huger getting her hair and makeup touched up for the cameras before heading home.
For those who’ve been keeping up, this day has been a long time coming. Huger was first arrested back in March 2024 by Montgomery County Police after she was accused of crashing her Maserati into a median and then swerving off the road. As we previously reported, she was found guilty of several charges, including driving under the influence. While she was sentenced to a year in jail. However, she only served six months in the slammer for the DUI.
Now, her legal troubles aren’t completely behind her, though. Huger is set to serve five years of probation and is prohibited from driving for one year.
As for her future on the show, it’s still unconfirmed if the Grande Dame will be back to claim her throne.
Who is Karen Huger and why is she so popular?
Karen Huger, known as the “Grande Dame of Potomac,” has been a staple on The Real Housewives of Potomac since its premiere in 2016. She’s known for her self-proclaimed status as the socialite and queen bee of the group, often lecturing the other women on etiquette and class.
Her dynamic personality, witty one-liners, and a knack for creating memorable moments—from her extravagant parties to her long-running feuds with costars like Gizelle Bryant—have made her a fan favorite.
Huger’s popularity has only grown over the seasons. She’s an entrepreneur with her own ventures, including a fragrance and candle line, and even had her own two-part special, Karen’s Grande Dame Reunion.
Despite facing scrutiny from her castmates about her financial situation and marriage over the years, Huger has always managed to come out on top, solidifying her status as a beloved and entertaining fixture on the show.
