Sha’Carri Richardson’s Airport Incident Caught on Camera
Welp, it looks like Sha’Carri Richardson might have a little more explaining to do after newly released body cam footage from her airport incident started making its rounds online.
To keep you up to speed, Richardson was arrested on July 27 for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend, Christian Coleman, at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. After details about her arrest became public, Richardson posted a video on her Instagram account saying she addressed the situation — and later apologized to her boyfriend in a follow-up post.

But now, the new clip has sports fans side-eyeing her even harder. In the footage, Richardson can be heard telling officers she didn’t hit him — only to switch gears moments later and claim he assaulted her. At one point, the angry athlete turned to Coleman and told him straight up: “I will never f–k with you again.”
The video also shows Richardson pleading with officers not to arrest her, warning that it would mess up her reputation. Clearly, they weren’t moved, because she was still arrested and booked into the South Correctional Entity in Des Moines, Washington, for over 18 hours.

Christian Coleman Speaks Out On The Incident
So, how’s Christian Coleman feeling about all this? Surprisingly, it looks like he’s sticking by her side.
“For me personally, I feel like it was a sucky situation all around,” he told Citius Mag during the 2025 USATF Outdoor Championships. “I don’t feel like she should have been arrested. I mean people have discussions and emotions and stuff like that. She has things that she needs to work on for herself, of course. So do I, so do you, so does everybody.”
Coleman’s words suggest he’s choosing to focus on moving forward rather than letting the incident define their relationship. Whether that means a full reconciliation or just mutual respect is anyone’s guess — but for now, it seems he’s not ready to completely turn his back on her.
