The singer is officially out of California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi, where he nearly lost his life in a brutal stabbing. According to TMZ, Tory has since been transferred to another facility—California Men’s Colony (CMC), located near San Luis Obispo, nearly three hours away.
This move reportedly came to protect his safety following the violent incident. While he’s still recovering, his lawyer says he’s “fine” health-wise. But Tory himself? Not exactly thrilled.
Apparently, he had started building somewhat of a community behind bars. Now, it’s back to square one as he tries to adjust to his new surroundings and find fresh allies inside the new joint.
Stabbing Left Tory Lanez With 14 Wounds And Collapsed Lungs
Back in May, Tory Lanez found himself the victim of a vicious stabbing attack inside Tehachapi. Reports claim he suffered 14 wounds in total:
“7 wounds to his back, 4 to his torso, 2 to the back of his head, and 1 to the left side of his face. Both of his lungs also collapsed.”
Now, despite being physically on the mend, Tory is doubling down on efforts to appeal his 10-year sentence. His team is working overtime, pushing California Governor Gavin Newsom to issue a pardon. They say new, overlooked evidence could change the narrative.
Tory Lanez Still Serving Time For Megan Thee Stallion Shooting
Let’s not forget why he’s in there to begin with.
As we reported before, Tory Lanez is currently serving a 10-year sentence after being convicted of three felonies tied to the July 2020 shooting of rapper Megan Thee Stallion. The charges included:
• Assault with a semi-automatic firearm
• Possession of a concealed and unregistered firearm
• Negligent discharge of a firearm
Lanez has maintained his innocence and attempted multiple appeals—none successful so far. But following the stabbing, his legal team is now louder than ever.
Megan Thee Stallion Shuts Down Talk Of “New Evidence”
While Tory’s camp keeps pushing claims of botched evidence, Megan Thee Stallion isn’t here for the conspiracy theories. She recently fired back on social media, saying:
“FACTS ARE FACTS, he did it, it was PROVEN IN COURT fuck the hate campaign on the internet TORY YOU SHOT ME !! Ain’t no new fucking evidence yall been saying the same shit for years.”
