Former Givenchy and Burberry creative director Ricardo Tisci is accused of sexual assault, according to a lawsuit filed this week in New York. The designer, a prominent figure in luxury fashion, is facing serious allegations from Patrick Cooper, who claims he was drugged and raped after meeting Tisci at a bar in East Harlem in June 2024.
Cooper says he blacked out after Tisci allegedly placed a drug in his drink. He later woke up naked and disoriented in Tisci’s SoHo home, with no memory of what happened after taking a single drink, according to Baller Alert.

Details of the Lawsuit: What Patrick Cooper Alleges Against Ricardo Tisci
Filed in New York Supreme Court on Tuesday, the lawsuit outlines disturbing accusations. Cooper says he met the fashion designer casually at a bar in Harlem. After what appeared to be a standard interaction, the situation escalated unexpectedly. The lawsuit claims that Tisci allegedly drugged Cooper’s drink, causing him to black out.
Cooper says he regained consciousness the next morning, naked, in Tisci’s SoHo residence with no memory of what happened the night before. After leaving the home, Cooper immediately went to the hospital, where he requested a rape kit examination. He later filed a report with local police, formally accusing Tisci of sexual assault.
Ricardo Tisci Responds to Allegations Through Legal Representation
Tisci, 49, has responded through a representative, who vehemently denied the accusations. In a statement, the rep said:
“Riccardo looks forward to clearing his name of these false and malicious allegations. He will obtain vindication through due process.”
No criminal charges have been filed at the time of publishing, but Cooper’s civil suit marks a serious moment in the career of the Italian designer known for dressing celebrities like Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, and Madonna. Tisci has yet to make a personal public statement.
