As previously shared, DDG, born Daryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., took to X (formerly Twitter) and his livestream accounts to blast his ex-girlfriend and son’s mother Halle Bailey for allegedly keeping their son from him. On Friday (March 7), DDG posted on X. He said, “been fighting to see my son for months now… shoutout to all the Dads who try their best to be there. this sh*t sucks.”
Not too long after that, DDG hopped on a livestream to explain to fans what he has allegedly been dealing with behind the scenes. He claims he and Bailey have been trying to handle things quietly and amicably, but he has become too frustrated. Now, he’s going public with his grievances and exposing his child’s mother for gatekeeping their son.
DDG Takes Alleged Custody Issues With Halle Bailey Public
DDG claims he didn’t want to come to the internet with his drama, but at the end of the day, “this is something that can really f**k with [Halo].” He tells fans:
“I’m really just coming on this motherf***er as just a dad that really don’t know what to do at this point. I been trying for—I been dealing with it since he’s been born, damn near. I really feel like I’m a f***ing nanny at this point. The nanny has been able to have my son more than me. And I don’t even know the nanny name. Like, it’s just not fair bro. So I have to come on here and I gotta do this sh*t. I gotta do it like this. I gotta go to court, do all this extra sh*t when it ain’t gotta be like that, bro.”
DDG continues to tell his viewers:
“Everyday I don’t see my son imma number it. Let’s see. I know she gonna let me see my son now. This the only way. Behind closed doors, I have not been able to see my son. Only if we on good—if we on perfect terms and she around, it’s cool, but if we not, I don’t get to see him. Every time I’m there, he got a smile on his face, he happy to see me, but he only can see me for no more than 48 hours. I haven’t had to have my son to myself for longer than than 72 hours max. And he’s getting picked up, taken away, I can’t come get him, whatever. It’s like I don’t know what to do at this point. I genuinely don’t know what to do.”

Halle Bailey Says She And Son Halo Have Been Sick Amid DDG’s ‘Can’t See My Son’ Claims
In the midst of all of DDG’s pleas, Halle Bailey took to her Snapchat account recently and told fans that she and Halo had been diagnosed with RSV. She continued to ask fans for any remedies to help them quickly recover. As the mother and son duo recover from their illness, Bailey also said that she would be taking a break from social media to focus on their health.
As Halle Bailey updated fans, DDG went on his livestream again. This time, in a newer viral clip, the rapper previews a song. On it, DDG begs his ex Halle Bailey not to “take his son” Halo away from him. In another viral clip from the same stream, DDG continued to tell fans that he doesn’t want to go to court to battle his ex over custody of their son. He told fans:
“I don’t want to [go to court] because it’s gonna get extremely messy and don’t have to happen. It’s gonna get to a point where, n***a, it ain’t gonna go how—I think it’s in her best interest to not want to go to court either. When we can just have a clear understanding … We go to court, the judge is gonna give me some time. And when I get the time, n***a, I’mma do what I want with my son.”
