Miami Jackson High Football Coach Under Investigation for Allegedly Watching Pornographic Content on School Computer

A well-known high school football coach in South Florida is under investigation for reportedly accessing inappropriate material on a school computer.

According to footage obtained by the Miami Herald, Max Edwards, the head football coach at Miami Jackson Senior High, was seen watching explicit content on a classroom computer. The video was recorded by a student using a cellphone. “He was watching porn in the middle of class. A lot of people were like looking at videos of it and it just spread quickly because it was a video leaked about it,” a 10th grader named Kenneth Sosa stated.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools released a statement about the situation which stated: Miami-Dade County Public Schools is disturbed by the allegations made regarding concerning behavior involving an employee at Miami Jackson Senior High School. The individual has been removed from the school site pending the outcome of an investigation. At this time, we cannot provide any further comment.

Edwards is a well-known high school coach and one of the most successful in South Florida. Before starting at Miami Jackson in January, he led Miami Northwestern to three state championships in a row from 2017 to 2019. Students are shocked by his recent actions, despite his strong reputation. “I heard that the coach was good so I didn’t really expect it from him,” said Sosa.” But I know it can ruin the school’s reputation.”

As of right now it’s not clear if Edwards will face any criminal charges.
