If you remember, Tekashi’s initial plea agreement in 2020 was quite challenging, as he faced multiple charges including racketeering, gun-related offenses, conspiracy, drug trafficking, and a host of other criminal activities. As we previously shared, he managed to escape a significant 47-year prison term by choosing to cooperate with law enforcement and assist in their investigation of other suspects.
Following the removal of his ankle monitor at the conclusion of his home confinement in 2020, Tekashi remained under strict conditions during his 5-year supervised release, which included regular check-ins with his probation officer.
At the time of his arrest on Tuesday, Tekashi was still serving this supervised release.
Only three weeks ago, Tekashi expressed that he wasn’t concerned about the stipulation in his new record deal regarding staying out of trouble. He described himself as a “squeaky clean” person, adding that it seems trouble has a way of locating him “all the time.”
