On Friday, the Chicago Sky made the decision to release guard Kysre Gondrezick, causing disappointment among basketball fans.

Despite her infrequent playing time this season, Gondrezick had garnered a strong following among fans for her contributions to the team. Even though she only played in five games with minimal time on the court, Gondrezick managed to attract a fan base this season through her appearances in the team’s pregame fashion videos.

After parting ways with the Chicago Sky, Gondrezick is now on the lookout for a new team this season. Since joining the league with the Fever in 2021, the former first-round pick has been searching for a stable place to call home.

Although her time with the Sky was short-lived, there remains a possibility that another WNBA team could offer her a spot on their roster this year.
