Kesha’s recent Coachella performance shocked fans when she switched up the lyrics to her hit song “Tik Tok” where she shouts out P. Diddy in the beginning of the song. Since the allegations against the mogul, Kesha has decided to make a “permanent” change to her lyrics now.
The 37-year-old singer has confirmed that the controversial lyric change to her hit song “Tik Tok” is permanent. The lyric change, which switches ‘Wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy’ to ‘Wake up in the morning like f—k P. Diddy’, will remain in the song. Kesha addressed this in a video recorded at LAX airport by TMZ on Thursday, May 9, when asked if the change was here to stay.
“Yes, it will be, so the fans should learn it for my upcoming shows. I want to hear it louder than ever,” she responded with a smile. “I stand by that.” Kesha also stated that her public criticism of Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently under scrutiny for alleged involvement in sex trafficking following the news of law enforcement raids on his Beverly Hills and Miami homes on March 25, is based on truth. “I’m not the kind of person that just shuts the f—k up, I know what I stand for, I know my integrity is rock solid so I speak the truth,” the singer told the outlet in the clip. “And the industry can kind of like suck my d—k.”
As we all know things first took a turn in Diddy’s career when a settlement was made within 24 hours after Cassie accused the mogul of a series of things. According to the lawsuit after meeting Diddy in 2005 he began a pattern of control and abuse that included plying her with drugs, beating her and forcing her to have sex with a succession of male prostitutes while he filmed the encounters. In 2018, the suit claims, near the end of their relationship, Diddy forced his way into her home and raped her.
After years in silence and darkness,” Cassie said in a statement, “I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships.”
After the details in her lawsuit were made public the world was shocked by some of the claims! Diddy’s lawyer first came out and said that his client denies all the claims.
“Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations. For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura’s persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail. Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs’s reputation and seeking a payday.”
But after making a settlement for undisclosed amount his lawyer released another statement saying just because Diddy settled doesn’t mean he’s guilty.
“Just so we’re clear, a decision to settle a lawsuit, especially in 2023, is in no way an admission of wrongdoing. Mr. Combs‘ decision to settle the lawsuit does not in any way undermine his flat-out denial of the claims. He is happy they got to a mutual settlement and wishes Ms. Ventura the best.”
