Patrick Beverley’s season has already came up short after losing in the first round of the playoffs but now he will be suspended for the first games of the 2024-2025 season.

If you remember, Beverley was seen throwing a basketball at multiple Pacers fans in the crowd during their game 6 loss. When questioned about the incident during a post-game interview with reporters, Beverley chose not to respond. A female reporter then tried to get his attention but the NBA baller refused to allow the journalist to ask a question after learning that she had not subscribed to his podcast. He instructed her to remove her microphone from his face and eventually requested her to leave the interview circle.

Well, after those chain of events took place the NBA released a statement saying that Beverley was suspended for “forcefully throwing a basketball multiple times at spectators and an inappropriate interaction with a reporter during media availability.”

This new update comes after Patrick Beverley just apologized for the incident and admitted that he was wrong in the situation.

Beverley expressed regret in a video released on Tuesday, teasing Wednesday’s episode of “The Pat Beverley Podcast.” He acknowledged the incident as “unfortunate” and admitted to his wrongdoing, stating that it should never have occurred. “What I did was bad, and that should have never happened. I have to be better and I will be better. That should have never happened, regardless of what was said, simple as that.” While speaking about what caused him to throw the ball at fans he didn’t go too much into detail but he said the situation stemmed from fans “talking to me crazy”

“That’s not the Milwaukee way or the Bucks way,” Buck coach Doc Rivers spoke out and stated about the situation. “We’re better than that. Pat feels awful about that. He also understands emotionally — this is an emotional game and things happen — unfortunately, you’re judged immediately and he let the emotions get the better of him.”

He added, “I had not seen that interview,” Rivers said. “I just heard that that happened. So we talked about that and then the ball-throwing incident. And he made the comment to me about what was being said back his way and I just said, ‘I get it, but we’re coaches and athletes, we’re the entertainers or whatever we are. Sometimes they can be in the wrong, but you just can’t do those certain things.’ And he knows that as well.”
