Fat Joe has always been known for collecting some of the hottest sneakers in the game but now fans are a little upset with the rapper after he revealed he purchased Donald Trump’s new sneakers.
While speaking to his fans on Instagram live on Monday, the ‘Lean Back’ rapper expressed how he’s the type of person that can separate the art from someone’s troubles. “If you collect art, do you really know what [Jean-Michel] Basquiat was into?” he began. “Do you know what Andy Warhol was into? Any of these artists that you was into? You love the art, so you get it. I guess they separate art from the person.
“Now, me as a sneaker collector, I had to get my hand on the Trumps […] But listen, I have thousands and thousands and thousands of pairs of sneakers. When everybody flipped on Kanye West I went and bought the two most exclusive Kanyes ever,” Fat Joe said during the live.
Many fans didn’t believe that he really bought the former presidents sneakers so he pulled them out and showed the box that shoes came in to his followers first and then he pulled out the sneaker and told his fans that he had to get them, but he made it clear that he is not a Donald Trump supporter. “Once again, I’m not a Trumper. I dislike Trump. I’m not voting for him — not now, not never — but I’m a sneaker collector into the art.”

As we previously reported, Donald Trump’s sneakers were a big deal when he announced them but they made major headlines when Fox News contributor Raymond Arroyo, gave his opinion about the shoes and said black people will vote for Trump now because Black people love sneakers. “This is (the shoes) connecting with Black America. Because they’re into sneakers. They love sneakers. This is a big deal. Certainly in the inner city,” Arroyo said. “It’s for people who want Donald Trump-brand sneakers that, against, he’s connecting on a different level.”
Trump’s gold shoes, which are titled “Never Surrender High Top Sneaker,” sells for $399.
To Fat Joe, there comes a time where morality should come before sneakers!!!!!
