While attending the 66th Grammy Awards, Chloe Bailey spoke with Hollywood Unlocked’s CEO, Jason Lee and explained how she will always ride for her sister when it comes to keeping her secrets.
As we all know, Halle Bailey and DDG welcomed their baby boy to the world last year but before the news became public fans on social media were already suspecting that the singer might’ve been pregnant. During that time when fans were speculating, Chloe spoke out and defended her sister and while speaking on the red carpet at the Grammys, Chloe explained how she used to laugh at some comments online because she knew that her sister was pregnant and nobody else did. “When that happened I was actually dying behind my phone laughing with everything because I knew something that nobody else did and I was like I will ride for my sister and that’s what I think sisters do best we keep each other secrets.”
Towards the end of the interview, Chloe also showed some love to a few other artists who walked away with awards during the show last night and she also shared how she wanted her sister to go home with a Grammy as well. “Halle, I’m looking forward to seeing her win for Angel. I actually got a chance to witness and Tyla and Victoria Monet winning they already won before the show started I love them both but especially Victoria she’s always been an incredible human being and she wrote ‘Do It’s with sis and I, our first hit I am just so proud of all the flowers she’s receiving.”
As we previously shared, Halle Bailey shocked the world when she announced the birth of her first baby in December 2023. The singer/actress shared a photo of the baby’s hand and captioned the post, “Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo 🥰👼🏽 ✨the world is desperate to know you 😉🤣♥️.”
Last month, while attending the Urban One Honors: Best In Black event in Atlanta, Chloe spoke on how it feels to be an auntie and called Halle’s pregnancy the “best kept secret ever,” Chloe raved that she is “on cloud nine” following the birth of her nephew. “She’s an auntie, she’s an auntie!” she excitedly said.
She also shared some of the advice that she gave to Halle when people were trying to figure out if she was pregnant or not. “We just ignore [the noise],” she admitted. “I would tell her, like, take social media off your phone, you know, I keep all her other secrets. So this was just another one in the books.”
