In an interview with Romper, Hilton explained she is still experiencing PTSD from her experience at Utah’s Provo Canyon School. As previously reported, the socialite alleged that she was sexually, physically, and emotionally abused as a teen during her year-long stay at the troubled youth facility. Hilton said her anxiety worsens when she’s at a doctor’s office, and she didn’t want it to impact her baby if she decided to be pregnant significantly.

“I just knew that would not be healthy for me or the baby, growing inside of someone who has such high anxiety,” she stated. According to Page Six, part of the alleged abuse Hilton endured included nonconsensual gynecological examinations where she was held down against her will.

“I opened up in a @NYTimes video about something I’ve never discussed before. At Provo Canyon School, I was woken up in the middle of the night by male staff who ushered me into a private room and performed cervical exams on me in the middle of the night,” Hilton wrote in a tweet on Oct. 2022.

Hilton added that her hectic schedule wouldn’t have allowed her to manage the side effects of pregnancy and said her days are planned a year ahead.

“There never would’ve been the right time to do it because there’s literally no time to do anything in my life.”

The heiress secretly welcomed two children within the past year, her son Phoenix and daughter London. Hilton said she is open to having more children and feels complete as a mother.

Provo Canyon School has said in previous statements that they cannot speak on previous student experience since a different company has bought it out.
