In a recent turn of events, Plano police are actively investigating an incident that occurred at a popular Texas bowling alley, which has gained significant attention after going viral on TikTok . The incident involves private security guards, raising concerns about the use of excessive force and the role of security personnel in public spaces.
The video, which has been widely shared across social media platforms, shows a confrontation between private security guards and a group of young Black women at the bowling alley. While the exact details leading up to the incident remain unclear, the footage has sparked outrage and calls for a thorough investigation.
In a news release, Plano police said they responded at about 2 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, to a reported assault at the Plano Super Bowl location on K Avenue. The viral video that has been circulating on social media shows two men wearing tactical gear and security badges forcibly removing multiple women from the establishment. One guard can be heard telling a woman behind the camera “Go f*ck* your mother” while the other yells more derogatory. Things got so bad, that one guard [allegedly] used mace on the women, according to the video. Officials are making it real clear that the two men in the video are NOT Plano police officers. Police note that the two are just private security guards that were hired by Plano Super Bowl. The department said in a statement,
“Plano Police Dept is committed to providing a safe environment for all citizens & visitors of our city & does not condone any type of violence or misconduct,” WFAA quotes.

Meanwhile, Plano Super Bowl has released a statement regarding the incident, providing a little more details about what possibly happened. The Wednesday post read,
“We are aware of an incident that occurred in the early morning hours today, Wednesday, regarding a group of patrons and contracted security guards that work within our establishment. It was an incident that escalated in a manner in which we at Plano Super Bowl do not condone in any way. While the incident began with a case of underage drinking involved, something never permitted, the verbiage and language used as well as the actions are in no way something that Plano Super Bowl and our staff conduct ourselves.”
The statement continued, “We are still in the fact-gathering stage, but are taking necessary steps to proceed forward. As such, the involved security guards are indefinitely suspended, and will not be present at any time for the foreseeable future pending further review for any additional disciplinary action.
We strive to put forth a welcoming, safe, and fun environment, and this is a situation that saddens all involved. We will continue to work to address any situation that may jeopardize these standards in any way. Thank you, and we hope to see you all soon.”
