Awe! A 100-year-old man, who happens to be a huge dog lover, was given a huge surprise birthday party that turned into a dog parade with over 200 dogs showing up!

On Saturday (June 17), Dr. Robert Moore, a retired dean from San Jose State University, turned 100 and was thrown an epic birthday party. Dr. Moore is a huge dog lover, so his family surprised him with a huge birthday party, which turned into one big ol’ parade full of pups from everywhere!
Using the Nextdoor app, the Moore family said they put word out of their father turning 100. On there, they told people who wanted to attend that they should dress up their pups and bring them to the family’s house to help celebrate his huge milestone birthday.

While the family only expected some folks from the neighborhood, and those around it, to come by with their doggies, the response would soon shock them all! Dr. Moore’s daughter, Alison Moore, told NBC Bay Area that she only expected about 20 to 30 dogs to show up to their home and surprise her dad.
However, on the day of his party, she said it was 10x that! She said there were about 200 dogs that had been brought over by their owners to come wish her dog-loving daddy a happy 100th birthday. There were so many dogs that came to the house, that they were able to form a line all the way around the block, and down the street from Dr. Moore’s home.
And all of the doggies were decked out to the nines! There were some dogs dressed up like cowboys with their hats, other dogs had on tuxedos, others were driving by in classic cars, and they were even some doggies with disabilities that were pulling carts.

Speaking to the outlet on how much of an avid dog lover her dad is, Alison revealed her dad was so happy to meet each dog and their owners. She said, “My father, he was so touched. He pet every single dog that came through. Every person brought the dog up to him. It was so lovely.”
She even mentioned how on top of everyone in the neighborhood and beyond brining their pups by Dr. Moore’s party, despite not knowing him, they also gifted him flowers, baked goods and even cool drawings and posters.
Along with Dr. Moore, his family said they will never forget this 100th birthday. Aside from it being a huge milestone, they were completely touched by how the community all gathered to celebrate their father’s big birthday, and to do so with some of his favorite little beings.
