The recent visit of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to New York City has been making headlines, not only for their philanthropic efforts but also for their claims of a perilous paparazzi chase. However, former Fox News host Megyn Kelly has called their near-catastrophic car crash claim lies. She called into question the authenticity of the event, which took place earlier this week, implying that it was media-coordinated with an element of fakery. Her criticism did not stop there as she challenged the couple’s privacy concerns, stating that they must get used to the American press’s rights. The 52-year-old even went as far as saying, “You don’t like it? Go back home, for the love of God! Take your wife with you”.

Kelly’s comments have sparked a debate on social media, with many expressing their agreement with her views, while others have criticized her for her lack of empathy toward the couple. However, Kelly is not the only one to cast doubt on Meghan and Harry’s claims. She also questioned the validity of their car chase story, calling it an impossible claim. She mentioned that the pursuit was just another night in New York for public figures and that they must have been willing participants to some extent.

Interestingly, despite the seriousness of their claims, no one from the royal family has checked in on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after their alleged near-fatal paparazzi car chase in the Big Apple. This has led to speculation that the reports might not be entirely true. Regardless of the truth behind what they say happened, it is clear that Meghan and Harry’s relationship with the media has always been a contentious issue.

The couple’s security detail described the chase as “near catastrophic” and apparently lasting over two hours. Numerous photographers were involved, using cars, scooters, mopeds, and electric bikes to follow the couple, per TMZ.

The situation was chaotic and could have resulted in fatal collisions for drivers, pedestrians, and police officers, it was further claimed. Although nobody was hurt, Chris Sanchez, a member of the couple’s security team, said the incident was “very worrying.”

According to law enforcement sources, after being followed by photographers, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle hired a taxi to escape the paparazzi. However, a garbage truck blocked their exit, allowing photographers to approach their car. The couple then returned to the police station’s 19th Precinct station house on the city’s East Side before eventually taking the taxi to their destination in the Upper East Side after driving around the neighborhood.

This is not the first time that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have claimed to have had to deal with intrusive paparazzi behavior. Since leaving the royal family, they have won several privacy cases against media outlets. In September of this year, they were awarded $25,000 in fines over photos taken of their son Archie.
