In an exclusive interview the US Sun this week, the family attorney, Sue-Ann Robinson says the family is becoming frustrated with authorities for their lack of action in the case.“The family is deeply disappointed,” she told the outlet.“They’re concerned, obviously, about the red flags and the lack of transparency in the investigation, but they’re not deterred.” As we previously reported, the FBI announced it would not pursue charges against any of the friends because of a lack of evidence. Sue-Ann Robinson now claims the agency refuses to give the autopsy report to Shanquella Robinson’s family after asking for it multiple times.

“The FBI says, ‘We cannot release the documents [autopsy results] to you because the case is still open, because we are waiting for documents to be translated to English that we received from the Mexican authorities,’ ” she said. “Which again, red flags everywhere because you’ve made a decision in the case, you’ve announced the decision publicly to the family and to the public, but you’re saying the case is still not closed and admitting that some of the documents from the investigative file that arguably would affect your decision to charge have not been fully translated.” She continued.

The lawyers also revealed she will be heading to Washington, DC soon because “there should be a level of urgency, a level of prioritization by the US authorities that just isn’t there yet,” she said.

WHAT HAPPENED TO SHANQUELLA ROBINSON?

On October 28, Shanquella Robinson, 25, left for vacation with several friends, but she never returned home. When Shanqulla’s mother, Salamondra Robinson, last spoke with her that Friday, she told her she was going out to dinner. However, one of her friends called the next day to let her know she wasn’t feeling well. Later, Salamondra and her husband Bernard learned that their daughter had passed away from alcohol poisoning, but the couple thought the diagnosis sounded strange.

“After they said it was alcohol poisoning, we received the autopsy report on Thursday, and it said that her neck had been broken and she had a back spasm, there was a crack, the spinal cord was cracked,” she explained to WBTV. Social media sleuths also uncovered a video of Shanquella  fighting with one of the friends from the Cabo vacation.
