A U.K. woman who previously went viral for pouring boiling water on her friend — who she accused of sleeping with her boyfriend —has now been sentenced to three years in prison.

U.K. Woman Who Went Viral After Pouring Boiling Water On Her Friend Accused Of Sleeping With Her Boyfriend Is Sentenced To 3 Years
On February 2 of this year, 18-year-old Princess Owusu Ansah — who is originally from from Accra, Ghana, but was living in Royston, Hertfordshire at the time — accused her friend of creeping with her boyfriend behind her back.
She then proceeded to attack the victim with scalding hot water and a knife. On the day of the incident, Owusu-Ansah showed up to the victim’s home, at the Dog Kennel Hill Estate in East Dulwich, which is in southeast London.
In a video that went viral on Snapchat, Owusu-Ansah filmed herself attacking her friend after accusing her of sleeping with her boyfriend. On the video, viewers can see the victim cowering under a blanket and screaming, as Owusu-Ansah grabbed a kettle of boiling water and threw it over her friend.
Owusu-Ansah then places her phone down with it pointed at the two of them. As she walks away from the camera and towards the woman, she can be heard yelling, “[Victim’s full name]. Mrs. f**k people’s man and think that she can get away with it.”
She throws the hot water on the girl, who continues to scream under the blanket. Owusu-Ansah then proceeded to deliver a series of punches to her friend. Then, she grabbed a silver knife, banged it on a nearby radiator and proceeded to threaten to stab the woman.
In another clip, Owusu-Ansah has her phone up in-hand and the knife in another as she points it at the victim’s head, forcing her for an apology. She then ends up stabbing the victim in the leg and makes fun of her for bleeding.
The victim was eventually able to get up and escape. She run outside her home and onto the street to get help. She was later taken to Kings College Hospital, where she was treated for non-life threatening stab wounds.
Local law enforcement officials opened an investigation after a concerned citizen who had seen the terrifying video on Snapchat, alerted them to the crime of Owusu-Ansah attacking her friend.
Subsequently, they arrested her on Sunday (February 5). While appearing in custody at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on February 6, Owusu-Ansah went on to plead guilty to grievous bodily harm with intent, criminal damage, and theft at the Inner London crown court.
Owusu-Ansah has remained in custody up until her sentencing on Tuesday (May 9), where she was handed down a sentence of three years in prison.
