2023 is turning out to be a pretty bad year for Jonathan Majors. The actor who was becoming a fan favorite after appearing in the film Creed III and going viral with his Ebony Magazine cover shoot, is now seeing a change in support.

As we previously reported, the actor was arrested on March 25 over an alleged domestic dispute with a 30-year-old woman. The unnamed victim was taken to the hospital to be tested for “minor injuries to her head and neck,” according to authorities. While Majors has denied any wrongdoing while the woman has taken the blame for the incident, Majors is still feeling the aftermath of the allegations. While he is expected to appear before a judge on May 8 as he faces multiple counts of harassment and assault from the New York City D.A., it appears that things are going downhill for him.

Talent manager Entertainment 360 reportedly dropped Majors as a client and so did PR firm The Lede Company which initiated a break with the Avengers actor last month. On top of that, it was said that Majors will no longer attend the Met gala with Valentino. Deadline reported that Majors and Valentino have “mutually agreed” the actor will not be attending fashion’s biggest night as one of its guests following his arrest on domestic violence charges. Despite that, Majors remains represented by WME.

More On Jonathan Majors

“Jonathan Majors is completely innocent and is probably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows,” Majors’ criminal defense attorney Priya Chaudhry told Deadline in a March 27 statement. “We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently. This evidence includes video footage from the vehicle where this episode took place, witness testimony from the driver and others who both saw and heard the episode and most importantly, two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations. All the evidence proves that Mr. Majors is entirely innocent and did not assault her whatsoever.

Chaudhry added, “Unfortunately, this incident came about because this woman was having an emotional crisis, for which she was taken to a hospital yesterday. The NYPD is required to make an arrest in these situations, and this is the only reason Mr. Majors was arrested. We expect these charges to be dropped soon.”

In a follow-up, Majors’ attorney also released a set of text messages to the press, where the the woman who is the alleged victim actually takes blame for the fight: “Please let me know you’re okay when you get this. They assured me that you won’t be charged. They said they had to arrest you as protocol when they saw the injuries on me and they knew we had a fight. I’m so angry that they did. And I’m sorry you’re in this position. Will make sure nothing happens about this. I told them it was my fault for trying to grab your phone. I only just got out of hospital. Just call me when you’re out. I love you.”
