Family Dollar Employee In Memphis Pulls Gun On Manager After Being Accused Of Calling In Sick Too Many Times
The employee has been identified as Dyneisha Holliday and she was charged with aggravated assault and three counts of reckless endangerment after an incident on December 27, 2022.
It is reported that Holliday was disciplined for using up an excessive amount of sick days. After being scolded, Holliday threatened her boss with a gun while customers were inside the store — which is located in the 3400 block of Summer Avenue.

The manager who was in the Family Dollar store that day said Holliday sent her a text message saying she wasn’t coming to work because she was feeling sick. So, the manager replied, claiming she told Holliday she was removing her from the schedule for calling in sick too much.
Holliday became upset and showed up at the business with a gun. Upon her arrival, Holliday confronted her boss, pulled the gun from her right pocket, pointed it at her and waved it around. At the time, there were three other employees inside the store, plus customers, who were left shocked and scared.
One of the other employees was able to get to Holliday and have her escorted from the store, but not before tucking her gun back into her pocket and throwing a stapler at her boss, and threatening to “shoot up” her car.
