Congratulations to Chad Johnson and Sharelle Rosado who are officially engaged. According to PEOPLE, who also obtained the exclusive photos, the retired NFL player popped the question on Saturday evening in front of their family and friends out in Miami.
Sharelle was under the impression she was attending an early birthday party for her beau, who turns 45 on Monday when 20 of their closest relatives surprised her by watching Chad get on one knee and popping the big question. “I’m honestly shocked! I’m at a loss for words. This was absolutely beautiful and to see my family and friends here to celebrate our love, that really did it for me,” Sharelle told the publication of her engagement.

She joked that considering Chad “is definitely not a planner,” she was completely taken aback by the proposal — particularly since all of their closest relatives had come out to witness the special moment. Chad and Sharelle welcomed their baby girl, Serenity, back in January 2022.
“Just the thought he put into this and having our family and friends here to witness says a lot,” Sharelle continued, still in shock by Chad going above and beyond to keep the special occasion top secret.
The reality star told the publication that getting engaged to the ex-athlete was undoubtedly the next step in their relationship, after having birthed their first child together last year. What’s more, Sharelle still recalls the times Chad would tell her that he would marry her one day — and this was back when they first started dating.

“Although in my heart I knew we were always meant to be, now that it’s official, it’s even more special than I could have ever dreamed,” she added. Though the engagement was very much unexpected, it seems as if neither of them is looking to waste much time when it comes to preparations for their wedding because the 33-year-old says she already has a destination in mind for where she hopes to tie the knot.
Some of the places where Sharelle says she could see herself walking down the aisle include the Bahamas, explaining that it would be extra special for them to get married there since this was also where the pair celebrated their daughter’s first birthday as a family.
