Jeffrey Dahmer’s father Lionel reflected on his sons childhood and the missed opportunities he had to uncover his killing spree in an interview with Dr. Phil that was recently released.
During the 3 part special Dr. Phil asked Lionel if he thinks there were any red flags that he missed. “There definitely were warning signs that I missed, but it’s hard to believe it really is.”

Then Lionel starts to share a shocking story about his son when he was between the ages of 12-14. “He roamed around the country roads where we lived and gathered on his bike with big plastic bags the remains of various animals. Such as foxes, small dogs, animals that have been killed on the road and took them back home.”
As we previously reported, Netflix’s “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” became one of the most-watched series on the streaming platform of all time. During the first two weeks of the release the series accumulated over 491 million hours of viewing time, with a reported 56 million households having tuned in to watch all 10 episodes of the exhilarating series.
Dahmer’s father previously made headlines after as his caretaker revealed that the serial killer’s father might be looking to sue Netflix after the releasing the film. He is also said that Netflix never asked his permission to use tape recordings from his son’s legal team for its other Jeffrey Dahmer docuseries.
Jeb told the that outlet that “from everything that I’ve seen and witnessed personally, Lionel was not contacted about either of these shows on Netflix. “I’ve personally talked to a few lawyers and we’ve talked to his publisher about it too due to all the chaos that is going on and the stories we’ve seen,” he said.
“Lionel and his power of attorney are gathering information and looking at a possible lawsuit against the production team or possibly Netflix,” adding that“There was zero care whatsoever about Lionel’s wellbeing.”
