A 10-year-old boy named Sammy Green from Pottstown, Pennsylvania sought help from a cashier at a local store after he was followed home from school by a woman claiming to be a friend of his father. Part of the disturbing incident was caught on CCTV — released by ABC News — where Sammy is seen walking towards the Dani Bee Funky flower shop as a woman trails behind him.
The boy hops into the shop, which he’s reportedly visited on countless occasions, as he walks over to the female cashier, Hannah Daniels, and asks her to pretend to be his mother in hopes that the woman would leave. According to Sammy, the person stalking him had even suggested he come home with her — but the cashier didn’t even hesitate to take action once the child quietly asked for help.

“He was like, ‘Pretend like you’re my mom,’ and I was just like, ‘all right go to the back.’ But he didn’t want to leave my side,” Hannah told CBS News. Without a care in the world, the stalker boldly continued to wait at the door for roughly a minute before Hannah decided to take matters into her own hands and confront her.
Despite gesturing for Sammy to go to the back, the little boy did not leave Hannah’s side as she approaches the woman who slowly but surely begins to walk away after a few seconds. His father, Sam Green, later told WPVI that the woman who had been following her son had tried to start a conversation with him by trying to convince him to come back to her place.
“Started walking with him and asking him where his family was, asking where his dad was. She said she probably knew me and was going to Wawa and he was supposed to go with her and he could get anything he wanted.”
It’s disturbing. They sent the woman for a mental health evaluation – but I would be locking her up because she deliberately told him she knows his family and they said he should go with her. That’s well planned. She’s not some hapless woman. 🤨

Pottstown Police Department is said to have located the woman over the weekend; it’s believed she suffers from mental health issues and has since been put in a facility to get the help she clearly needed.
