Prosecutors Claim R. Kelly Paid Hundreds Of Thousands Of Dollars To Obtain ‘Missing’ Child Porn Videos In 2000s And Intimidated Parents To Keep Quiet

R. Kelly and his team allegedly paid substantial amounts to obtain child pornography that had gone “missing” in the early 2000s, prosecutors revealed in court on Monday. The “Religious Love” singer, who is facing federal charges that include creating pornography with minors, enticing underage girls, and obstructing justice, sat in the courtroom as an IRS agent went through the payments Kelly is alleged to have made to get back the graphic videos from multiple people.

One of the mothers whose daughter claimed she was sexually abused by the disgraced Grammy winner in the early ‘00s, testified by using the pseudonym “Susan,” as she told jurors how she and her husband became fearful of Kelly after confronting him at a hotel. In response to their question on whether he had shared an inappropriate relationship with their daughter, she recalled Kelly saying, “You are with us or against us.”

She perceived this to mean “that they were going to harm us if we didn’t do what they wanted us to do.” In an effort to avoid any life-threatening consequences for speaking out, the parents agreed to lie in Kelly’s 2008 trial — where he was acquitted of child pornography charges — that their daughter was not the girl in the sex tape Kelly had recorded. Alongside his associate, Kelly is then alleged to have instructed the parents to leave the country for several weeks, which they did. “We were very, very frightened,” the mother continued.

She later elaborated on why she felt the need to lie in the 2008 case, saying “we feared for our lives and we were intimidated.” To make matters worse, their daughter was just as fearful of what would happen if her parents were to go against Kelly’s wishes — so much that she even threatened to commit suicide if they didn’t follow his wishes.

Susan’s daughter also testified in the explosive trial, which commenced last week, using the pseudonym “Jane,” as she openly admitted to also having lied to the jury in 2008 when she denied being the 14-year-old who was seen in a graphic porno tape recorded by Kelly, who was 30 at the time.

She went on to share that she was sexually abused hundreds of times by the “Same Girl” musician before she had turned 18 and that the relationship she shared with Kelly had led her to suffer from emotional distress and trauma.

Kelly is already serving 30 years after being found guilty by a federal judge in New York on racketeering and sex trafficking charges.
