A Las Vegas man was arrested last week for allegedly killing his ex-girlfriend’s brother then called her to mock and laugh at her reaction.

Brother was protecting his sister from her ex after a domestic issue
Byron Manning, 24, was charged Friday with a single count of murder as reported by people. Authorities said Manning was listed as a suspect for the fatal shooting of Ronald Moore,34, after he was gunned down on April 7 at an apartment in North Las Vegas. Before the murder, Moore’s sister asked Manning to remove his things out of her apartment after ending their relationship and Moore was there to support her in case any issues occurred.
In the criminal complaint obtained by PEOPLE, Manning threatened that he would “hurt someone important in her life.” Moments later, several gunshots rang out and Manning fled from the scene allegedly. He later called his ex and said, “ha ha, I got him,'”

Suspect denies all involvement in fatal shooting despite calling ex about it
However, there were several conflicting stories from Manning’s brothers and the victim’s family. Manning explained to police that he didn’t fire the rifle at Moore and changed his story multiple times.
Manning is held without bail and expected to appear in court on earlier this week.
Currently, it is unclear if Manning and Moore had an argument prior to the shooting as details are very vague. Police also did not disclose the identity of Manning’s ex-girlfriend.
