DaBaby On Contoversal Rolling Loud Comments — Says It Was Not His Intention To Offend The LGBTQ community: There’s” Gay People In My Family!”

DaBaby is set to perform at the 2022 Rolling Loud Miami festival one year after the rapper was nearly canceled for his remarks which many people labeled to be hateful and homophobic.

The rapper will perform the second day of the three-day (July 22-24) event which is also headlined by Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, and Future.

While appearing on the @breakfastclubam, DaBaby talked about his controversial performance and how it was never his intention to offend the LGBTQ community. He also shared what he learned from his experience. Here’s what he had to say:

As we previously reported, DaBaby sparked massive outrage following his homophobic and misogynistic comments. He said:

“If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up,” he told attendees. “Ladies, if your p—- smell like water, put your cellphone lighter up. Fellas, if you ain’t sucking d— in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up.” Following backlash, he met with several LGBTQ and HIV organizations to be educated on important issues.
