“The Game” Star Brittany Daniel Welcomes Baby After Her Twin Sister Donates Egg
Brittany Daniel is now a mom thanks to her sweet twin sister Cynthia Daniel.
In a new cover story for @PEOPLE magazine, “The Game” & “White Chicks” actress reveals she had a baby using her twin sister Cynthia’s donor egg.
Brittany shared that she learned she may not be able to have children due to her fight with stage IV non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. That’s when sister Cynthia stepped in to help out in a big way. Cynthia decided to donate her own egg so that Brittany and husband Adam Touni could have a child of their own. Cynthia explained that “I saw it as such a simple gift I could give to her. I know Brittany would do it in a split second for me. And we’ve always shared everything, so why not this?” Brittany and Adam welcomed their baby girl, Hope Rose Touni, on Oct. 24, 2021.
As happy she is to have her baby girl, Brittany told PEOPLE that it wasn’t an easy process. She said after a meeting with a fertility specialist, she was told that chemotherapy treatments had diminished her egg reserve, making conceiving without medical intervention impossible.
She spoke with her sister Cynthia about the idea of donating her eggs. Of course, Cynthia, 45, who is married to “Yellowstone” actor Cole Hauser and has three children, ages 17, 13 and 8; didn’t hesitate.
Brittany’s daughter arrived on Oct. 24 at 7:11 a.m., weighing 7 lbs., 3 oz., and measuring 20 inches long. Despite the pandemic, Brittany was able to be in the labor room when her daughter was born: “I just let out this primal cry,” Brittany said. “The entire room was bawling because they just all knew what we had been through.”
