Twisted Murderer Scott Peterson Resentenced To Life In Prison For Pregnant Wife’s Murder
Sick family man Scott Peterson has been resentenced to life in prison, two decades after he was sentenced to death for the grisly 2002 murder of his pregnant wife and unborn son.
Sixteen years after being given the death penalty for murdering his wife Laci and their unborn son Conner, Scott Peterson was resentenced to life in prison on Wednesday without the possibility of parole.
“Nineteen years, and there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think about my sister,” said Amy Rocha. Laci’s brother, Brent Roch, “There are no words able to express the pain associated with not being able to experience life together.”
Peterson has been on death row for 17 years, but Laci’s mom Sharon confronted Scott following his new sentence.

“You betrayed her, your son and everyone else,” Sharon Rocha said. “You ended two beautiful souls.”
Rocha recalled a dinner with Laci and Scott just days before her murder. She remembered sitting on a couch, touching Laci’s belly. “Scott doesn’t want to do that,” Sharon recalled Laci saying. “He doesn’t want to feel the baby move. But he’ll come around someday.”
“All the while we were there that evening you were already planning her murder,” Rocha added to Peterson. “That evening was the last time I saw my daughter alive.”
“Two things will never change,” she said to Peterson. “Laci and Connor will always be dead and you will always be their murderer.”
In 2002, Scott Peterson was accused of dumping his wife’s body from his fishing boat into the San Francisco Bay in 2002. Her corpse surfaced months later. He was arrested after massage therapist Amber Frey told police that she began dating Scott a month nearly, and he had told her his wife was dead. Today, his defense attorney claims her client is innocent.
Defense attorney Pat Harris said it is “not the place to retry the case…but I would note that there is a very strong basis for Mr. Peterson to state his innocence. He’s been sitting in a prison cell for 17 years waiting for the opportunity to be heard again.”
Oh look. Scott Peterson is now a blonde. His roommate/cellmate probably prefers blondes. pic.twitter.com/ZtxDlvT1B8
