California Sends Out Third Round Of State Stimulus Check Payments
California is sending out its third state stimulus check payments this week per the state’s franchise tax board.
The third installment is estimated to distribute payments to 705,000 people. Payments are distributed through direct deposit and 375,000 will be mailed out as paper checks.
They payments are scheduled to be made every two weeks. The California Tax Board cannot send the entire amount due to “the state’s ability to validate eligibility, protect against fraud and issue GSS II payments simultaneously with other mandatory disbursements.” Unfortunately, the income limit is not higher for married couples who file their taxes jointly unlike the federal checks.
