Former Olympic Boxer Félix Verdejo Indicted For Murder Of Pregnant Lover

Former Puerto Rican olympic boxer Felix Verdejo has been indicted on murder charges by a grand jury for the death of his pregnant lover 27-year-old Keishla Rodríguez. He could face the death penalty if indicted.

“What I want is justice for Keishla,” said her mother, Keila Ortiz. “We’re going through a pain that Tony and I never imagined.”

As we reported, Verdejo is accused of punching Keishla Rodríguez in the face then injecting her with a syringe filled with an unidentified substance bought at a public housing complex, according to a criminal complaint filed by the FBI. It also alleges that he wired her arms and feet then tied a heavy block to her before throwing her off a bridge at 8:30 a.m. Thursday. The complaint states that Verdejo then shot at Rodríguez’s body as he stood on the bridge. Sadly, Rodríguez was found in a lagoon near the U.S. territory’s capital Saturday, a couple of days after she was reported missing.
