The prayer vigil is set for Monday outside the suburban New York hospital where he remains on life support following a heart attack, TMZ reports.

The official vigil follows Sunday’s event where members of the Ruff Ryders Motorcycle Club arrived at White Plains Hospital to pay tribute to the rapper. Videos shared online showed fans gathering together as they played some of DMX’s hit songs.

As we previously reported, the family confirmed the news of his hospitalization in an earlier statement that read, “Friday night, April 2nd, 2021, our brother, son, father, and colleague DMX, birth name of Earl Simmons, was admitted to White Plains (NY) Hospital, facing serious health issues. We ask that you please keep Earl/DMX and us in your thoughts, wishes, and prayers as well as respect our privacy as we face these challenges.”

As TMZ notes, DMX’s fiancee and mother have visited him in the ICU, and some of his kids are reportedly flying in to see him soon. We will continue to keep you updated on this story as it develops.
